Clarence Jey is a Grammy-credited, multiple U.S. Billboard Hot 100-charting producer and songwriter whose work includes some of pop culture’s most recognizable musical moments.
A versatile, genre-fluid collaborator, Jey has worked with platinum-selling acts, rising artists, and global creatives across pop, indie, rock-pop, R&B, hip-hop, reggae, and musical theater — consistently balancing commercial appeal with creative depth.
His credits include collaborative releases with NLE Choppa & Juvenile, creating the viral anthem “Friday” — which topped iTunes, entered the Billboard Hot 100, and was performed or covered by Glee, Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, Roger McGuinn (The Byrds), Katy Perry, and Justin Bieber — contributing to Katchafire’s Legacy (#3 U.S. Billboard Reggae Albums), producing for Grammy-winning R&B group All-4-One, and recording/engineering American Idol standouts Thunderstorm Artis and Drew Ryn.

TennTones is a boutique studio based in Nashville, Tennessee — just a short drive from downtown, in the quiet suburb of Brentwood. At the heart of the studio is a rare RCA recording console from the late ’60s, originally housed in the legendary RCA Studio A in New York.
We love blending the rich, warm tones of vintage analog gear with the flexibility of today’s digital tools — it’s our favorite way to bring the best of the past and future together in every session.
